 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training begins in March 2009 All South County residents are invited to register for upcoming CERT training which begins March 10 2009. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings for seven weeks, with a disaster simulation exercise on the final day of class (Saturday, May 9, 2009). CERT training is designed to provide basic training in disaster preparedness, which increases the ability of citizens to survive until responders or other assistance arrives. Courses include; CERT Introduction, Fire and Life Safety, Medical, Light Search and Rescue, CERT Organization, Psychology, and Terrorism.
